The primary purpose of the interview is to determine the thinking strategies that students are able to use.  Secondary purposes include identifying how they represent the problem and the mathematical language they use.

As the students solve each problem, quickly record what they did on the appropriate form.  After the interview, complete the summary form and compre it with previous performances.
